I have a stair going from a mezzanine down to the main level.  The opening for the stair is shorter than the stair is long (ended the opening when head height cleared).  When I look at this stair on the mezzanine plan the whole length of the stair shows even though the end entends under the mezzanine slab.  It acts as though the mezzanine slab is trasparent, but it is not.  How do I get the stair to stop displaying as it goes under the mezzanine slab?

Do you have the floor below set as your underlay?

Good thought, but no.  My underlay is set to "none"

Is your visual style set to wireframe? I've also seen this answer in a previous post by WWHUB....

Do you have floors?  and are they turned on?Are the floors over-ridden to transparent in view?

A quick check is just to goto the view tab, select floor plan, uncheck do not duplicate and create a new floor plan.  This will not have any mistakes in its settings.

The simplist of things will get you every time - it was set to wire frame.  Setting to hidden line fixed it.  Thanks for the help and the other suggestions.
