I have a hardware problem with Revit 2012. I will paste the text from the same topic, posted inhere http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?p=1157857#post1157857.
"Hello all,
I have exactly the same problem, as discussed in this thread: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=129867However, I would like to be using my hardware acceleration. I just bought a Y570 Lenovo with Nvidia 555M 1GB for that whole purpose. Is there a way to tweak, fiddle, do something with the nvidia settings, those in revit, any way of making this whole system work as intended? Using hardware acceleration is at least twice or 3 times as fast in 3d, but the selection process, which is what you do most in Revit, is driving me insane!!! I would simply like to use my system to its full potential. Things I have already tried: installed sp2.checked if revit supports my graphic card - it does not.isntalled the latest drivers for my graphic card.was puzzled by the fact, that .. ok, this is a bit tricky. Lenovo Y570 comes with on-board Intel HD graphic card AND Nvidia GeForce GT 555M. Through the nvidia control panel you (as I did) can make sure Revit uses the Nvidia graphic card. However when you start your Revit and go to options->graphics, you get this message:The installed video card driver is newer than those certified by Revit.Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family; current driver: 8.17.12.8562Certified drivers: 8.15.10.2266; 8.15.10.2361You may continue to use Hardware Acceleration. If you experience graphics display issues, you should:- Turn off Hardware Acceleration; or- Install driver that is recommended for use with Revitas if you are using your on-board card. /btw, I installed the 8.15.10.2361 certified driver, just for the sake of it, Revit still shows im using the newer driver/So, that's that, I will be extremely obliged if someone has a workaround of some sorts. Have a nice day."
And have a nice day again.

simply sounds like windows is reinstalling the newest driver or else you improperly installed the previous. can you verify through your device manager what driver is currently installed
