Hi all,
I've created a series of wall sweeps and am having trouble getting the wall sweeps to stay the length i want them to be. I spotted a work around of someone saying that if you place the sweep on a full wall length you should be able to drag the length then move it into position, however, when all works fine apart from when i move it into position between my windows it automatically jumps back to the full length of the wall with lots of individual pieces between each window when i only need 1 piece.
I don't want to break my wall up or use a hosted line based family for it. also don't want to use an in place family, I need to use a wall sweep. is there a way, am i missing something???
Really annying thing is when i move the wall sweep back away from the windows it goes back to it's sngle small piece again - what is going on???
Thanks for any help

Have you tried experimenting with Revit built-in sweeps? If the provided sweep profiles work well, then the problem is in the sweeps you created. If it's giving you the same prob, there's something wrong with your host (wall).

I'm creating an existing historic building, and eery profile is bespoke, the likely problem could be the fact that the wall is slightly off axis, i know this can cause a number of problems but my revit model has to match the survey data so there is no way around moving the wall.
I've found a work around for what i needed anyway, basically i run the wall sweep onto the perpendicular wall and return it around the corner on my troubled wall with an angle that matches the 2 wall (89.54 degrees), I then just drag the grip to the first window and it's worked a treat.
