I've had a look through a few forums and can't seem to find an answer..
Basically I'm looking for some kind of auto lock when using the align command (especially in parametric families)
I've just created around 20 different window families all involving lots of mullions, I found the usual procedure of creating lots of reference planes and then aligning lines for extrusions/sweeps etc. to them. I find it really irritating that on every command I have to lock the alignment. I would much prefer if it automatically locked and if i chose to unlock it, then i could do that. I never really find myself having to unlock anything, so surely it would make much more sense if the padlock was automatically locked instead of unlocked, it would close to double my efficiency when making parametric families.
If anyone knows if i'm missing a tick box somewhere please let me know (it seems so logical) - I'm using Revit Architecture 2012

A seperate 'Align and Lock' tool would definately be nice and a great time saver.
Tool bad we couldn't use Autolisp in REVIT. . . DOH !
My VB coding is pretty rusty.
