Could you please tell me if a boundary condition can be treated as a support? That is what I have read in the Check Support command description ("Elements such as foundation and boundary conditions can provide support for other element").
However, if I apply a point boundary conditions to my columns and I run a Support Check, I get the following error message for columns: "Structural Element may not be supported -- verify support for Element".
Thanks!

For sure column is a point support. For your boundary support, I guess you need a bearing/retaining wall.
