To show shear studs over steel beam on section view in my project, I nested shear stud as 2D detail item within steel (UB) beam family. It worked fine and showed the 2D Detail item over steel beam on section view within project. But I am facing a problem with placement of Stud such that the Beam is forced to move below the stud even though the stud is a 2D Detail family.
While placing the 2D Stud in the Beam family, I tried both the placement options 'Place on face' and 'Place on work plane'. I also tried to constrain the dimensions for placement. All these options were still forcing the beam to move below the stud.
I have attached the nested Beam family, 3D view and section view as loaded in project.
Please suggest me how to correct this family to solve the purpose.
Thanks.
Sorry, could not upload the 3D view and Sections as JPG. Those are from the family however!

Just noticed similar thread below suggesting "In your modified beam family, make sure that you have the top of beam work plane saved as origin with strong reference".
I did this in my modified family but when loaded in project, top of beam is now above the reference level by a distance of the stud's height. I have attached my modified beam family. Not sure what am I doing wrong. Anyone please suggest me to correct this family.
Thanks.
