For the last 2 hours i have benn trying to adjust my celing grid by using the move tool. but it doesnt seem to work at all. i clicked on one of the grid line first then clicked on the move tool, i adjusted the line to where i want it to move, then i clicked on the left mouse button ..and nothing happend execpt for every grid line to move to the right which i dont want. any ideas guys

Your trying to only move one grid line? You dont need to click the move tool, all you have to do is select the line and hold the left mouse button down and drag the grid to the location that you want. if you have a 2x2 grid system it will always stay 2x2 (except at walls if it cannot fit you will get a sliver of course)

i want the whole grid to change if i changed one line of the grid. if it makes sense .. you are say if its 2x2 i wont adjust ? at all ...

If you move one grid line all of the others will follow. If you have a 2x2 system and are trying to change it to a 2x4 system you need to do that under properties and change the material. I apologize if I am still not following, if I'm not maybe a picture would help.

no ...your right thank you for your time anyway...what i am trying to say is when i move one line the whole thing doesnt change shape at all it moves as a gride together. what i want is to widen the space up all together to fit one of all the ligthing fixtures ...
i seen it been done on a tutorial video but it doesnt seem to work on my file? i m not making it up.. check the picture if it helps

Grid lines are hatch lines. You have to assign the correct hatch in the material properties for the ceiling. NOTE: That hatch pattern should match the pattern of your material.
What teafoe was telling you is that you may already have the correct materail with the correct hatch already in your project. Look at the ceiling materials available.
