My new ceiling grids do not stand out against the existing ones. How can I increase the line weight of a grid? I can't find anything in the basic ceiling editor that lets me do this.
Thanks,
Matt

There are several ways
1. Select the existing ceiling and set in the properties the phase created to existing (when your view is set to new) existing parts wil show greyed out.
2. duplicate the ceiling and make a second type, change the color of the surface patern.
3. select the existing ceiling rightclick and choose override grafics in view.

Thank you, gebber.
My problem, though, is not making a lighter lineweight for the existing. The existing is light enough. I'd like to make the new ceilings heavier. They're already black. How do I make the grid lines thicker?

I now find the option in the print setup "replace halftone with thin lines"
To make the other lines heavier you can go to;
Manage -> Settings -> Objectstyles, here you can find Ceilings under Category,
under projection you can change the lineweight.
(Lineweights can be checked under Manage -> settings -> additional settings -> Lineweights)

gebber, the suggested will change the picked line weight all over the project, in most of cases i wouldn't do that... i have the same issue: how to make the ceiling grid lines heavier?... in Object Styles i can change the thickness only of the ceiling outline, not the grid itself. It is Revit 2013

Was anyone able to solve this? How to make interior grid lines of a ceiling darker (meaning change line weight not color). Everything I do seems to change only the line weight of the ceiling outline.

Ceiling grids are really just a hatch pattern. Read this.
