I searched the internet, manu's and this forum and could not find an answer to this. Our project has a man door within a sectional overhead door. I am stumped as to how to create this as a family.
Any ideas?

I would modify an overhead door family to create this. The question I would ask is how would you schedule this. The entire door is one number. If you want the man door to have a seperate number, then nest that information in a shared, hosted family.

Thank you wwwhub. The door manufacturer master spec shows this as one door. OH and Man. We will edit the door schedule notes to show the man door within.
I should have been clearer with my question. I looked at the OH door family but have no idea how to add a door within the OH door. I know how to create a door family within a wall but have not done so within another door. Will keep trying.

This may be nothing more than some added linework in the plan and elevation of the door. Just 2D stuff.

Is one setion of this oh door large enough to contain a standard man door? Is it a one section oh door?
just curious.

coreed,
These man doors typically span multiple panels and are hindged accordingly. The problem is there is a threshold panel you have to step over.

I just added a storefront wall (same size as door required) within the sectional door and changed the panel to a wall type. Then add your door. If you require the hinged lines through the door edit the door family and change the detail lines to be spaced @ 2' on centre.
It's a quick work around.
