I have created a slab and I have added the profile to create a thickened slab.  I can add rebar to the slab but not to the thickened profile portion.  I know the slab needs to be changed to structural to allow the rebar to read it but how can I get the thickened slab to respond to it also?

Revit Structure allows Rebar to add in a 'Slab Edge'. Not sure how it behaves if you are using Revit Architecture.

Optionally, try placing Rebar at Slab area and then move the rebar to thickening area and modify as required.
