go to your title block sheet go -->view-->new-->revision schedule Revit will create a revision schedule, drag it into your title block and load it into your project. in your project go to setting--> revisions in the dialog box that opens define your revisions with date and number. draw a revision cloud, click on ii and go to properties, define the number of this revision cloud. you will need to open your title block drawings, there you can insert a revision schedule. once you load it into your project, you can control the revision through setting-->revisions.

I would like the revision date and name to show in the sheet index on the cover sheet too - which I thought was the original question. I have the revsion schedule in our title block but those parameters for the revision schedule I cannot get on my sheet index. The explination you gave appears to be how to get the revision schedue on each sheet. Is there a way to get the revsion inforamtion to show up on the sheet index?

I have been trying to do this for sometime now.  Does anyone know how I can place a revision tag and revision issue date on my sheet index.  I've tried all kinds of parameters, but nothing is working.  Please help!   Revision tag and revision Issue Date on Sheet Index not Titleblock.

i cannot figure this out either!  there must be a way for the sheet index schedule to read what the issue date and revision date are!

Without checking in Revit, but assuming you guys have tried creating a Drawing list and the revision parameters are not available to add to the drawing list schedule...

Then you will not be able to achieve this using the revision schedule tool.

You would need to manually add shared parameters to the titleblock for the revision parameters and then add those to your schedule.  This essentially kills all the smarts to the revisioning system.  This was the way we used to do things before they fixed the revision tool to allow more display flexibility...
