I'm a noob and i'm doing a 3 level school in San Diego for a Structural Engineer. My problem is with the Arch file and updating the background into the my Struct drawing using copy/monitor.

I have the Arch file linked into mine, when i get an update are the walls supposed to move to the "new" heights and locations per the latest background update? Am i supposed to manually go thru and look for the changes myself and copy in the new walls and delete the old?

Also when updating the walls on the foundation i end up losing my footings and having to redo them, what am i missing?

These may be basic questions but i'm a basic user, thanks in advance!!

-Matt

You will need to go to Collaborate -Coordination Review - select the link, and the coordination review dialogue will open.  You will be able to modify only the walls that were originally copy monitored.  If the architect deleted and redrew any walls, thus deleting the original element ID the feature is lost and you will have to re-copy monitor those walls. There are many limitations to copy monitor especially with walls depending on the archs. workflow.  Hope this helps
