Greetings! Here are my wishes. 1. Adding parameter in VIEW TITLE rfa. 2. Attaching topography to floors so that it will be easier to revise. 3. Editing texts and leaders in detail component while inside a project file. Because once you load and use the detail component and change the scale, It will become a mess. 4. Showing wall sections in legend. Especially curtain wall. 5. Showing clip extent of floor plans and reflected ceiling plans in elevations/sections. (Only section-detailed plan can show clip extent.) 6. Joining of stairs to floors and walls 7. Adding parameters in Project Information. 8. Rotating of Revision Schedule in titleblocks. (When I rotate titleblock with revision schedule in project file, only title block rotates.) Please make these possible. Thank you

  1. " Adding parameter in VIEW TITLE" << Have you tries editing your view title family?
  2. " Attaching topography to floors so that it will be easier to revise"  <<  I don't understand this.  Why would this make editing topography any easier?  Do you understand PADS?
  3. " Showing wall sections in legend. Especially curtain wall."  <<  Why?   Again, I don't understand the reasion for this question.  What does this accomplish?  Do you mean where the sections are or the sections themselves?  And what is the relationship between curtain walls and wall sections?
  4. "Showing clip extent of floor plans and reflected ceiling plans in elevations/sections"  << This has been asked by others but I personally don't see the need.  Would it help?  It could be nice but you can learn to understand view settings.
  5. "Joining of stairs to floors and walls" << Why?  Usually stairs are drawn against the walls because that is the way they are built.  As such, they don't need to join because they have a perimeter line.
  6. " Adding parameters in Project Information." << You can do this already.  Read your HELP - search "parameter"
  7. "Rotating of Revision Schedule in titleblocks." << Revisions schedules can not be edited in the project.  They are in the titleblock family.  Edit them there.

1. Yes I did, several times. No ADD option.

2. You have a point there, but Im not really a fan of Pad. Pad is very different from Floor. But i will try it again. I will just make pad as a gravel underneath the floor slab.

3. In legends, you can drag different components like doors, windows etc. and it shows the view option floor plan/ front/ back. I want to have SECTION option. Because i do my schedule of doors and windows in the legend. I also want to do my schedule of walls here. but i cannot show the sectional view. I want to show the Stacked wall Section. (like what you see in previe when youre editing stacked wall.  Instead, i do it in drafting views. which is very time consuming.

4. I can still survive without this wish but its better if there is. You can manipulate the rcp easier. and it will be more friendly to all users. I understand vew settings, but sometimes i get confuse. In revit there are lots of things to think about and not this one.

5. I want to join the stairs to floor because when you uncheck END WITH RISER, there is another line and when you read the plan, it means there is another step or tread. but if you look at the section theres none. very confusing. but if you check END WITH RISER, the stairs and the floor does not meet. there is a void space in between them. so i just have to make wall just to slose it.

6. ok. what version is this? im using revit 2009

7. in titleblocks in a project. there are option if you want to rotate it 90deg clockwise or counter clockwise, and when i chose to rotate the titleblock, revision schedule does not cooperate. its as is where is. grrrrrr

  1. It sounds like you only tried to change parameters of your view title in the project.  To add parameters, you have to edit the family in the family editor.  If you do not understand this process, I suggest you start by downloading the "Families Guide" on the autodesk site.
  2. -
  3. There are no legend sections available for components. The real wishlist is maintained on the AUGI site so add this there.  Stacked walls are not true Revit elements.  They are individual walls with each portion defined seperately.  This is why stacked walls can not be tagged as an entity.  Only their seperate wall types are taggable.  Most users define their seperate wall types using legends but not for the "stack".  The hights of the various portions of a stacked wall are usually noted in sections or elevations.
  4. -
  5. Now I understand your joining stairs question.  If you don't wnat this last "tread" line to show in plan, use your hidden line tool.
  6. Adding prject parameters is available in 2009 version.  Again, read your HELP because it explains how to do this.
  7. It's been a long time since I used 2009 so I had to look to see what you are talking about.  If while in the project and I click on a sheet, I can select rotate and I can rotate the sheet.  Everything works fine and my revisions rotate with the sheet because they are part of the sheet family.

My wish list: 1.On cylindrical columns and surfaces in general, the surface pattern should show the curvature, I mean proportional or gradual change in the spacing of the lines. 2.When rendering one should be able to preset where to save the render automatically when done. 3.In 3dview one should be able to use measure distance and, measure distance would show delta X and delta Y info. 4. the renderer should take the priority use of the memory automatically. 5.The possibility of making rounded wall ends. 6. The possibility of making slanted or inclined walls, not by doing a mass. 7.Families should be scaleable once inserted into the model. 8.The background image should be visible in the perspective view in order to adjust the point of view of the model according to it. 9.The export layer settings should have the possibility of assign different widhts to the projected lines such as wall edges depending on the distance to the observer. 10.Mapped materials should be editable in each object separatelly and graphicaly like in 3dmax uv map. 11.Masses with material should be no longer a mass. 12.For making roads: the possibility of doing multiple slope arrows. 13. The grips of the section box should be visible always regardless the zoom. 14. All dialogs would be re-sizeables. Everything has long names and routes. 15. Fix the void cut. Is a mess. 16. The stair steps should be automatically numbered with two options: consecutive fron 1st floor to the last or each story independently, and of course editable first number.
