It is taking 5-8 minutes to save my files that range from 5-15 MB. I've been working with these files for a while and they used to save quickly (under 30 seconds). I am working in 2012 and have downloaded service packs 1 and 2 to see if that would help. It didn't. I've audited, purged, resaved and renamed. Worksharing has NOT been enabled. I've been told to reinstall the entire program, but that takes a couple hours. Is there anything else I can try first? What is the problem?
Computer specs: intel(R) core TMi7CPU, 2.94 GHz, 12MB ram, 64 bit, nvidia quadro 5500 graphics card. Thanks much!

Are you saving with a highly detailed view or tiled views. If so, Revit has to save all that data. Save from a very simple legend or detail view.

I was having a similar problem and found this thread, I have a 32MB Model and had approximately 20 tiled windows open, the model was taking around 10 minutes to save. just by closing all of the tiled windows and saving in a basic plan it cut the time down to 1.5 minutes, that's a hell of alot of time saving over the working day. thanks Hub
