I have linked an revit architecture file into revit MEP. I set the view range to desired amount, draw some pipes (below the surface so to speak), the pipes pop up, everything shows. But I can't click them. If I drag the linked scheme away from the pipes, everythings's fine. It's almost like the linked file is on top of everything and therefor I can't work properly.

 

For the record, I'm a student and therefor a beginner at Revit.

What I am going to assume is that your view is set to hidden line or above, switch it to wireframe and you will be able to select the piping.

Yes switch to wireframe...its a good idea to 'pin' your model just incase you accidentally shift it while trying to click on the pipework ;-)
