We are going to be combining structural elements into our main architectural models. 

There are many pros and cons,

Cons

• We are going to lose dimensions as we use the structural elements in place of the architectural elements?
• We can't use our floor hosted families that are already in place. We will have to use surface hosted elements, perhaps this involves revising all our families that are floor hosted. 
• We will lose opening , cut or void families in the floor slab
• There is a great amount of work in removing arch elements deprecated or removed altogether from the file.
• join geometry will be difficult to use.

Pros

• We are going to reduce the number of changes in half as there will be 1/2 the steps involved in editing.
• We will know instantaneously(as quick as a derivative), what the engineers are getting us into. 
• complexity is reduced and hence mental, psychological strain.

Can this list be supplemented? If so add your comments as to the pitafalls of this operation.
