I'm working on a curved stairway that has a couple of landings with the top being a balcony in a residence. I have edited the default stair to create a new one by adding different balusters and newels.
What I can't figure out is how to change the top rail (identified in the "Edit Type" window as "Rail 1" with no other selection available). The rail I want to use is shown in the "Load Family/Profiles/Stairs"" dialog and represented only by a 2D profile named "Handrail 2 5/8 x 2 3/8", but I can't understand how to employ it to replace the circular default rail. I've tried using it for a Sweep, but because of the curve and twist in the rail, it can't alogn properly. I' lost.
Second challengs is to alter four of the tapered beginning treads to have arched ends in plan view. Revit doesn't seem to provide a means of changing the plan view profile of individual treads. Any ideas?
