But I cant fatten my leader line connecting the two...any thots?
Q2...Can I fatten my architectural 'tick' marks on dim lines?
Q3...my fat lines join each other with rounded edges can I make them sharp?

q1: yep, under Settings>Object Styles, Annotation Objects Tab, find Callout Boundary, hit the + sign to expand and find the Callout leader line object style. Change the lineweight from 1 to whatever your like.
q2: not "fatter" but you can make them smaller/larger, also under Settings>Annotations>Arrowheads
q3: Nope. print it and see how they look. Some printers square off lines. They will be round on screen and more 'square' on print. Pencils and Technical pens were always round on the ends... :-)
