We recently upgraded to version 2012 and now we have an issue with the reflected ceiling plans. While in those views, we cannot select the ceilings that have been created either by using the "Tab" key, or doing a selection box. Literally every other element (grids, walls, rooms, tags, etc.) can be selected, but the ceilings seem to be exempt. If we do a selection box, the "filter" button does not become available, however, the in the Properties menu "Multiple Categories" becomes active, and ceilings are in the list. I can create a new ceiling, however, once it is made, I am not allowed to select it.
The view range is set to unlimited top, cut at 7'-6" above related level, and has an unlimited depth. All items are on in the visibility graphics. I have started new ceiling plans and used the Revit defaults for view range, and get the same results. These plans have not changed since the Revit 2011 version, and were working just fine last week. I have also made sure the video driver Autodesk recommends is current.
HELP!!!!!
Any insight would be helpful. Thank you so much.

Sounds bizarre, and the only thing I would double check is the ceiling hasnt been set as a Design Option - because it sounds like the type of thing that happens when an element is put into a 'Primary option', then the view is switched back to 'Main Model' - you can see the element, but cannot select it.
Apart from that, sounds like a call to your Autodesk rep might be the only solve.

do you have any lay in ceiling, perhaps something with a model hatch on it? if not then add a model hatch to one of your ceiling types and try to select the hatch.
i know this isnt a fix, I am just curious if it works

I have seen other questions like this that ended up being a video card problem. Check your drivers.

I've tried everything. I'm troubleshooting the problem with Autodesk right now. I have already sent them both my Central File and my Local, but they can't seem to recreate the problem. I guess they have better video cards than we do. I've been looking at posts from other people, and searching the web for similar issues, and the video card does seem to be the culprit.
Thanks for all your help guys!
