Hi guys, another simple question apologies, IM tring to dimension 2 points on the same wall but aligned dimension wont work as it only lets me dimsion the face of walls and not points in walls and since the wall is not at a right angle to the adjoining wall the dimension wont be correct, ive included a PDF of the 2 points I need to dimension. Thanks

Simply start your dimension and tab until you get the point at those intersections.

I did that but the dimension is wrong because the adjoining wall is not perpendicular to the wall I want to dimension so I end up with a dimension like the one in the image, I had to hide the adjoining wall then dimension the wall then unhide the adjoining wall.

You have not used the process I described. You have to tab select the point at each end. You started with a face - not a point. Try it again.

Hi thanks I got it eventually after hitting the tab button about 50 times and putting on a pair of binoculars so I could see the dot

Not a useful method for dimensioning that kind of thing in any case, how is someone to build with that kind of dimension. You should use a string with offsets.
