Revit 11

Two Questions, please excuse me if they seem naive as I am just learning:

1 When drawing slab thickenings to the perimeter of a building the profile shows on the floor plan as a solid line. How do I control this and show as a broken line?

2 When drawing slab thickenings generally, other than to the perimeter, which is often the case when a grid of beams or thickenings is required, do I use a wall sweep to emulate the profile of the perimeter slab? and does this show correct graphically when mitering into perimeter beams/thickenings?
