Hi all, I have a small annotation question, attached PDF shows a dimension to the Patio that has a leader and text in lieu of the actual dimension. I am using Revit Architecture 2012

Here is what I am trying to achieve

1. A family Dimension or Annotation that would show the extent of the notation with a normal straight leader

2. The abilty to alter the text as per normal eg size/ width of the area to place the annotation ( Like the handles on standard text)

3. Able to have multiple leaders to indicate the same note on 2 different walls at the same time.

I am happy to create a family to do this but I dont knw if it would be better to start as a dimnesion or annotation. Also where would I find a template to start with.

I realise this is more of a structural type question but I have the need for this type of notation more and more frequently

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Shawn

When I need to do something like that, I usually just replace the dimension with the text "refer Note 1" (or whatever number/letter you like). Then write the notes on the same sheet or near the plan/drawing. Trying to squeeze in long/complicated notes into dimensioning always ends up looking like a dog's breakfast otherwise I think...

I know that doesnt solve your question directly, but maybe you dont need to do it the way you are thinking?
