I'm trying to figure out why all the callouts are visible in my overall plans for both HVAC and Plumbing, when in a previous project the callouts were only visible in their specific discipline overall plans. I've looked at everything I can think of and both projects and views look to be set the same. I've asked other folks to look at the issue and they're stumped. Somebody mumbled something about "Revit knows which discipline the view should have", but they couldn't shed any light on that and why the overall views from the 2 projects are different.
The callouts aren't hidden elements, they're floor plans and not detail callouts nor references, sub-disciplines (project parameter) are defined but there's no filter in either project that would filter callouts. I'm at a loss as to how the callouts are filtered in the other project. Is it possible all the enlarged plans were duplicated, scaled and cropped from the overall plans and all callouts were referenced? That might explain it, but it seems like a lot of extra work.
Does anyone have other suggestions?
I created a sub-discipline filter for the new project's callouts, but I still want to figure out how the other project did it.
