That is the purpose of Design options.  But you need two options - Base plus 2nd option....  Then set your VG for different views accordingly.  You can have two plans, elevation etc - each set to show the DO you set.

I have created an additional option within my option set....Certainly eliminates the option done before but I can not edit it as it's shaded.  When learning the DO command I had thought I could go back to the "main model" and carry on as before prior to creating the DO.  I am missing something I think.

If you have two options in one set, then you have 3 different editing options.  Main model, Option 1 and Option 2.  If you have set up a view to be contolled by option set, then you need to be in the correct view.  If the view's option sets are set to "automatic" then they will display the base + whatever option you are in.  If not editing an options, they will display base + the default option.

I have made it work by changing the VS (design option) in each view to prior to option setting....then have the toggle at top of page on "main Model"  I am only sending this to be sure it's correct?? as it seems to be working and showing what I wanted...thanks for the help.
