I don't believe walls are set up with an understanding of the process of construction.
Builders and designers work to the centre of structure - Revit likes to work to finished faces of walls, and centrelines of wall assemblies including cladding / veneers / linings etc.
Even though you can set the "location line" of a wall to core centreline, automatic dimensioning won't pick up the core centreline.
It would be good to be able to control line weight for cores / finishes / cladding separately, as we prefer to highlight structural systems with bold lines, rather than the cladding / envelope of the wall.
