Hatching needs an option to be oriented linearly with respect to the host object and able to be scaled in real units if desired.
Need to be able to sepcify different hatch for plan cut and section cut to pick up different modules.
Actually, a much better wall and roof system needs to be developed, where walls / roofs can be considered as an assembly of components - blocks, studs etc. This way you could strip back layers of the wall for plans, and wouldn't need to bother with faking hatching as each of the members would be cut by the plan or section.
Plan view ranges seem to be an issue for me - our windows are nested families, and if individual sashes are not high enough they won't show as cut, no matter what you do with cut plane etc settings. The view range settings need an overide, so that everything the cut-plane passes through will be cut, regardless of its height (much like a section).
My wishes for the day.
