I am fairly new at Revit Architecture and still trying to learn the finer details of 2011. Mulling windows is my current confusion. I have been trying to create a family which would have the two windows horizontally mulled with interior and exterior trim. I have created a new family and brought my base window family into it. I was able to place the windows within this family locking them to the center so as the sizes change the stay fixed (mulled) at the center point. The two issues I am seeing at this point are regarding the schedule and changing window sizes. Right now I am finding I have to change each window size independantly. Changing one does not change the other (I have multiple family types set up within the original file for each typical size). I have to select each window and change the type, or edit the type. Is there a way to bring the window types through to the current family so a parameter there will control which window type is displayed? I also have not figured out how to bring the properties of the original family file into the current one so when I get to creating a schedule the window names, sizes, finishes, etc. will be retrievable by Revit. I suspect it is something simple I have missed in set up that will possibly solve both of these issues at one. Hopefully, this is not too confusing as I am realizing I am in over my head.
Thanks,Tim
