Hi there - I have imported a dwg file from surveyors into Revit. I have created it into a topo surface (I think) and now need to cut the landform so as to create a road that follows the contours. I can't figure out how to cut the topography.....I want it to be done as if I was using a lump of clay and cutting into the clay to form the road.
Any ideas on how to do this?
Currently the topo surface is just a sheet, do I need to create a solid to enable me to cut into it? I'm positive this must have been done many times before and am keen to learn how to do it myself!
Please help!
Thank you

Sorry but Revit is not clay so you will have to do it Revit's way. Read the "Graded Regions" in your HELP. You may also find some tutorials on-line.

why did you post a .dwg, instead of your revit file? Attached is a techique for creating road work, that seems very successful, although a little time consuming. Also there is a add in called SiteWorks, EaglePoint, that seems very interesting although I have not purchased it myself.
