I'm trying to create an exterior wall area schedule. We want to divide the walls to N,S,E,W facing walls for sustainability reason's. So, we created some project parameters for that and we can click on those to separate the walls out for our area schedules.
The issue, is that when we encounter a stacked wall system, those parameters do not show up for those walls. I understand that I can go to that particular wall type and change it there, but we use those wall types on all the N,S,E,W walls. That will not work since we still need to separate them out.
In lieu of creating wall types for N,S,E,W facing walls, is there another way to separate the walls out?
Thanks!
Adam

First, stacked walls are really individual walls.... just stacked for placement. Each portion of the stack has it's own properties.
Second, you can always add instance based parameters to walls and schedule that. Manage - project parameters - add to wall category.

I already added the NSEW parameters for the schedule. I can change the parameters to show that for the schedule. It's when I select the stacked wall that I can't do that. Yes, I can go into the stacked wall and do it for the individual walls for the stacked well, but it will change for that whole wall type.
The only thing I can think is to create individual NSEW Brick Exterior walls and apply that to those particular Stack Walls so they are all separated out.
Am I explaining this correctly?

It looks like I can "break up" the stacked wall and then I can apply the settings....I wonder if it is wise to do that....I'm thinking no...

First, the NSEW parameter should be instance, not type. See attached.
Second, it appears that as long as the stacked wall is "stacked", you can not change the instance parameter of the individual components. SO!!! Right click on the wall and choose break up. Now you can assign NSEW - see attached:

Yes, I think that's what we'll do.
