Hello everyone.

I have been trying to add to the library of rendering images as so I can change the appearance of say

Brickwork or anything else. I had it almost sussed in an earlier version 2008 i think but now with 2011 I cannot find where to import the images and I would like some guidance on producing my own images to add to a custom material.

Thanks for listening.

Joe

Thanks, I have tried  Help under F1 key Managing Property Set Library but got no response. Could you be more specific?

I found the previous topic in the on-line help.  I don't use that at work.  In the loaded help files, try to find these topics:  How Materials Are Stored  -  Best practice for storing image files -  ( Additional Render Appearance Paths)

I personally like to store these files with the project.

Yes I found how to attach a file to an image which was easier than I thought. It is sometimes the simplest things that cc cause the most confusion. Where my files are stored on my computer would be helpful. The nice people at microsoft have made it difficult to access your program data in windows 7. Thanks for the advice.
