...is there a way to show a wall hatch in phase-exist mode of any wall type ...in plan view course mode? thx

I'm not sure I understand your question?

Are you talking about a New Construction View and override the display of the existing walls to display with a particular hatch style in a coarse view?  If so then yes.  Just ensure the Phase Filter is Setting to "Previous + New" and then in the Phase Graphic Overrides define a cut pattern style to Existing.
