I have purged my template files about three times now, and I know that there are still four text fonts that are not in the file, but
will not purge out. What could be connected to text that would not allow me to purge it out? Thanks.

Is there a stray piece of text that you have not noticed? Place some text somewhere, then right-click and select all instances. That should let you delete all instances even if you can't see them.

Yes the select all instances process is what I use. Occassionaly you might find the text is embedding in a group somewhere.
Another common one I've common across in trying to purge a dimension style is sometimes the dimension in question is embedding in a filled region sketch...

I had trouble finding where the text style was being used. Right-click > Select All was grayed out. So made the font size red and changed the size to something huge so I could spot it easily. After that I was able change the text style of those objects and purge out the unwanted text style. BTW they were in a group as Mr. Spot suggested.

I also had this issue and discovered Text in a Legend cannot be selected from the select all instances command. So check your legend for the text type you are trying to delete.

Nice observation!
This feature hurts! Legends Hurt. It would be nice if they would update that a bit. Maybe focus less on Materials!
Also, Can we please get a Levels Manageer Tab? How about a View Naming Convention Hierarchy Tab? Can we get a real text editor? One that allows for multiple text types in one body, how about text size?
