i know other people have started this thread, but i haven't seen any definitive answer. i think the answer is no, but is there anyway to do a split segment in elevation similar to what you can do in section? i have a screenshot attached, which shows that my view crop region is going through a portico. I'd like to jog the elevation view to show portico in elevation not section. Is there anyway to do this?

thanks

i'm in 2011

The answer is no.

What I have done is used two elevations, placed appropriately in paper space and leaving only one call out.

Another method you can try is backing up the cut line so it shows the portico, then use Hide elements in view for the elements in the areas that jog out.

This is a new feature in Revit 2014 - you can split segments of elevations, just like you can do with sections. In a plan view, select the elevation plane and "split segment" will show up in the contectual ribbon. It seems to be very problematic however. It does not always work properly for me...
