Hello,
I have this school design of a boatyard curved roof that I´m trying to put into revit but I´m having some troubles. I´m hoping I can get some tips on how to set the stayed cables as it´s shown in the picture added. I tried to use the mass sweep tool but couldn´t set the proper work plane as the surface is curved, so I couldn´t draw the little circle in the right position to run along the line from the roof to the top of the mast. I know there´s got to be something really easy I´m missing. Any ideas?

I would make a parametric family called cable that allows you to adjust it's length. Non-hosted. Create a work plane that biscts your form verticall, place multiple copies of the family on this plane, rotate them and adjust their lengths as appropriate.

Maybe this can help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZVxs02TQeY
Or create a "Generic Model Line Based" to create those cables

Thanks a lot for your tips guys!
I´m going to try to make a cable general family. That video is great, but I just didn´t get that the guy did, shame the video is too fast and without audio, but that is certainly a great exercise and I hope one day to get to this level.
Thanks again

thanks mbsteve but I couldn´t open your file, you probably saved as a 2012 version, if you could save as an earlier version I´d even more grateful.

Sorry Maycon,
I have closed out my 2011 version, and just use the newest version, they are not backward compatible.
