How do I poche new walls on the floor plan so it's easily read as new walls?

Also doing demo plans and new floor plans does not seem very easy. Every time I use the hammer to specify demo, it shows up in the 3d views. Is this another draw back of revit?

To the contrary, this is the power of Revit. What you do in one view happens in all views. Use your Help to learn more about demo, phases and its visibility graphics, you can control how the phasing affects the models appearance.

is this forum for real?  Is revit for real?  I cant seem to get enough  good advise on this program..  All I get is someone  telling me to go to the help menu and look it up for my self.  What?

If i cant do it I dont know who can.   It's not like I'm a novice with this kind of software and I've been in the business of architecture for over 15 year...

Come on..

No more... read it yourself !

Did you try your HELP at all?  Absolute suggested you learn about phases:

Phase Filters

Table of contents
  1. 1. Topics in this section

A phase filter is a rule that you apply to a view to control the display of elements based on their phase status: new, existing, demolished, or temporary.

And he also suggested you read abot demo:

Demolishing Elements

Table of contents
  1. 1. Topics in this section
  • Revit Architecture iconRevit Architecture
  • Revit MEP iconRevit MEP
  • Revit Structure iconRevit Structure

Use the Demolish tool to mark elements as demolished in the current phase. If you demolish an element in one view, it is marked as demolished in all views that have the same phase.

Absolute was giving you good advice that you don't seem to want to take.  Start with the HELP and when you get a better understanding of some fundamentals, we can help you with more detailed questions.

I also suggest you look at:

Detail Level

Table of contents
  1. 1. Topics in this section
  • Revit Architecture iconRevit Architecture
  • Revit MEP iconRevit MEP

You can set the detail level for newly created views based on a view scale. View scales are organized under the detail level headings Coarse, Medium, or Fine. When you create a new view in your project and set its view scale, its detail level is automatically set according to the arrangement in the table.

Wall Type Properties

Table of contents No headers

To modify a type property of a wall, you change the value of the corresponding parameter as described under Modifying Type Properties.

Graphics Coarse Scale Fill Pattern Sets a fill pattern for a wall in a coarse-scale view. See View Properties. Coarse Scale Fill Color Applies a color to the fill pattern for a wall in a coarse-scale view.
