If anyone can help me, I am trying to make a model .pat file in notepad to import in to Revit, and I cannot figure it out!
I can make 8" horizontal lines with this imput:
0,0,0,8,8,8
0,4,0,8,8,8
...but I want an ALTERNATING 8" and 4" horizontal line pattern. I am beyond stuck! Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! THANK YOU SOO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!!

How to
Making patterns in autocad.
Go here, download it, install it.
In later versions of autocad, you have to download a vb enabler (visual basic is no longer supported by microsoft, so in autodesk they make a plugin to enable it)
Go Here and choose your current version of autocad.
Make any pattern you want, only use the tools provided with the hatchmaker. Save the pattern as a .pat ( again, there is a button in the hatchmaker to do so) and if you need it to be a model type, edit it with notepad.
Enojoy.
