Please somebody help!! I'm trying to print to pdf and my drawings aren't coming out to scale. I'm am using a pdf driver/writer called cutepdf and I've also tried exporting jpegs and converting those to pdfs in photoshop but after I've converted, when I have the pdf open, then I go to view>actual size then I put my architect scale on the screen to check and it's not to scale. I did it once and it worked but I had a different initial dialog box right after I installed cutepdf and I have not seen that box since. I have tried everything I can think of and here it is... Ok, So when I go to I plot I am making sure to not "fit to page" I set the zoom to 100%, I select my current views or sheets, or current view (I'm printing sheets for the engineer so scale is a must.), high raster, vector processing, center, 11 x 17 landscape, my title block is 11 x 17, I don't what I could possibly missing. the result is the same for when I convert jpegs as well except I set resolution to 600, and I use JPEG lossless, Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!! Thanx.

If i set the pdf zoom to 91.6% then the scale is right. if I plot at that same % it gets pretty close but it cancels the .6 or it would be just right. I wonder if I have a paper size issue cause something just isn't jivin...
I'm attaching a file so anyone who wants to can play with it and see. Its quite interesting because it has me so perplexed..

eh it's too big to attach. it's strange though because I exported to DWG and then opened it with AutoCad and then plotted and I got the same result. I must be missing something here that I'm just not aware of...

You can't ever scale anything on the screen.
CutePDF is not your problem. Are you plotting at 100% to begin width?
Your problem is more than likely when you are printing the PDF, not when you print to the PDF. Recheck your process there.

gday nate,
sheet size 11x17
paper size 11x17
did you leave a margin or border on your drawing sheet?
a half inch margin all round loses an inch off the page ht.
1/11 aprox = 9.09% of page ht, which is about what you are shrinking your drawing to print to scale , right?
just a thought.
p.s. i use cute pdf and it prints spot on.
cheers from down under.

hey mansell5, I'll look into the margin thing. Also I was actually using cutepdf. and then I tried pdf creator and I'm getting the same results. it's flipping me out haha... standby.. ok I'm officially crackers, as WWHub said you can't scale anything on the screen! It retards it somehow but I plotted it on letter size and everything came out just right. Thanks everybody. Happy plotting and designing! =)

Ok new question haha: How do you get rid of the big black bars an all four sides of the pdf? It is in both cute and creator and shows on my CD's..
