Hi,
I'm using 2d line work to represent our furniture layout in our plans...its not needed for our package but is needed for reference. Should I make a family or group together lines....which one will add less to the model? Its a 10 story project, so we'll end up with a lot of groups/inserted families depending on which one we go with, and we're trying to avoid bogging down the model.
Thanks!

I think families are better, especially if a parametric family that can be used in place of multiple familes. Families can also have parameters that allow them to be tagged and scheduled. And can also be 2 1/2 D so the same family in plan will work in elevations.
Families can easily port between projects as well.
