Hi All,
Please bare with me.
We are a facade consultant firm looking to go to the direction of using the revit platfrom(project requirement) to a few of our projects. However, we are not sure till now how to make use of it properly in our documentation. As facade consultants, it is common practice (at least in our part of the world) to identify the facade types and come up with HIGHLY DETAILED typical details. This is basically to aid the tenderers/bidders to have an idea of which system to use which will then help them to estimate the facade costs.
Our company have been all along using AutoCAD to document it which makes sense since we only draw 2D drawings.
Is there any particular reason why projects seem to be leaning towards using revit as universal platform? Is there benefits for consultants like us to use this software apart from getting more Revit centric projects?
