has anyone used Revit on Macbook pro with i7 and Flashdrive?  What kind of problems will I run into with a flashdrive....?  Should I just get the regular drive?  What is the performance like?

Not sure I understand what you mean by using with a flashdrive. You mean running revit from a USB stick?

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

Apparently all apple computers want to start moving to flashdrives... Like macbook air.  Does not use a regular SATA? drive anymore.

Ah, in that case, no, there will be no issues with running Revit from this. In fact you will see signiificant improvement, especially on low RAM machine such as laptops where memory swap to the SSD would be incredibly fast.
