Hi, I created a customized door schedule, please see attached Doors-Try-006.rvt, and Door Schedule.txt files.
They are three door families, C-Dr-CMU-Flush, C-Dr-CMU-Lite, and Single-Flush; all are using the same customized door schedule with instance parameters. For doors 1, 3 and 4, I can type in all field data on door schedule and those field information showed on each door , or vice versa, but not for door 2. If you go to the Door Schedule View, for example, in boxes under (2)DOOR TYPE, you can type in data for doors 1, 3 and 5, and they are all showed on those doors' element properties; but not for door 2.
I'm working on Revit 2009.
Please help, Thanks!

There seems to be a rash of questions with this same problem. Whoever built your families does not understand shared parameters. If you look at your schedule, you will see another (2) DOOR TYPE parameter available for your schedule. If you add that one, you will find that this holds door number 2's data.... now why do you think that is?
Shared parameters are not just a name. They have some special coding in the file that you can't read or change. They have to be created from the project environment initially. If you don't have the correct parameter in your shared file, you can export the parameter from your project to your shared parameter file. Read this topic in your HELP:> Exporting Shared Parameters to a Shared Parameter File
