Does anyone know how to control the lIne weight in elevations (interior and exterior) so that the objects in the forground are darker that the objects in the background. This is for all objects, not just walls?

We have used the Object styles - But this does not resolve the problem if there is an object in the foreground and the same object in the background It has the same line weight - We have used the linework tool, but I don't think is very useful when you have large elevations.

View stepping has been a long standing wishlist item for revit. It is not possible yet without manually picking each line with the linework tool or using advanced model graphics silouhettes and just changing the lines you would like lighter...

I noticed that this communication happened a couple of years ago. Has there been any improvement? In Revit 2008 is there any view stepping yet or settings for getting elevations to have proper line weight? This seems like a major issue.
