i would like to render this image without the interior walls' shadows showing.
It needs to render as realistic as possible, as though the roof has been taken off.
I've tried to 'hide' the ceiling in this view, which works, but I don't know how to edit it so that it renders AS THOUGH THE CEILING IS ON. Can anyone help me please?
My first image is what I'm getting, the second image is what I want.

just an idea,
you could try and put a big floor above your camera so that it drops a shadow on top of you appartment and if you position it correctly you will probebly be able to keep the sunlight comming in from the sides.
