Has anyone every had an area of plan where elements loose the ability to be room bounding? We have a large scale floor plan file which has worked fine for months until today when a block of four rooms have merged into one volume. It is now impossible to draw room bounding walls within this space, room separtion lines do not work in this area either - has anyone got any idea how/ why this might have happened?

We've already tried deleting and rebuilding the walls, checked they are constrained to the slabs above and below, checked the rooms are constrained to the floor slab and that their height does not exceed the floor to floor.

I've seen this problem with mirrored projects.... areas.

Have you audited the file?

No the file doesn't have any mirrored elements (the rooms in question are asymetric). I've tried auditing and compacting the central file on synchronisation but I'm affraid it hasn't helped.

The file in question only holds the elements relating to that floor level, the slabs, stair cores and envelope are all linked in from separate files. We are using Revit 2011 with udpate. pack 2 and import our rooms and their embodied information into Revit from Codebook (version 9.0 build 03.01.11) if that gives you any clues?

I don't know anything about codebook ..... but that is obviously a suspect area since this is not native Revit.
