Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to set up my project dimensions (not my dimension strings) to something other than 1/256". I find it very frustrating when I dimension something and it's 1/64" off. I try to be as accurate as I can, but I always seem to come across a weird dimension. Is there a way I can set up a 1/16" grid so my walls, lines, etc. will always snap to the 1/16"? I am using Revit 2012.

Thank you.

You can set up your snaps so that when you add elements, they will snap relative to other items.... but that will not get rid of your problems.  You need to pay attention to temporary dimensions and change them as you are adding elements.  Weid dimensions may still happen in the end, depending on the families used but if you are careful in your modeling, those will go away.  Keep your project units to 1/256 but for final architectural dimensioning, the rouding might be best at 1/8
