i have foundation walls (or grade beams) and I have pier caps that are integrated into the grade beam (or monolithic). I am trying to get the pier cap (whihc I used a column family for) to join and clean up with the grade beam.
It works fine in one project, but not in another with the same situation... I have matched the view range, from the project it works on to the one that I am having troulbe with...nothing
I have verified top and bottom constraints...they match
Same material....yes
can anyone tell me why it works fine on one and not on the other?

Is it possible that they are modeled as structural columns in one project and architectural columns in another? I read somewhere that this can make a difference in how they clean-up with walls.
