Hi Team,

Just a quick question to see if it is possible to lock/pin/(or similar) a door 'mark'. I ask this as we've issued a set of drawings for 70%, and would like to make it difficult to change the door marks, so that the door mark numbers in this issue will stay the same as the next one.

Thanks in advance.Andy

Not sure I understand.  Door marks will not change issue to issue of drawings.

The only way an instance door mark will change is if someone actually changes it or if they delete a door and put another in its place. <<< This is something your users should understand.  Don't change door types in this way.  Instead, select the door and swap types.  Then the door mark doesn't change.

Type based door marks will change if you change types.

Thanks for the response Hub. We understand that the door types will only change if someone changes them physically, what we want to do is make this a little harder to do so by means of locking the mark. We have stressed to our team the importance of the door mark not being changed (and using the replace method as opposed to delete), but somehow there's always someone who accidentally changes the numbers without realising - this is why we were wondering if it was possible to put a lock on. The more I think about it the more I see that this won't be possible though. I hope this is a bit clearer, thanks Again.

Andy
