Hi,
I woudl appriciate some thoughts on this problem.
I would like to add a scale bar to my sheets, I would like a large one on my 1:100 sheets, a small one on my 1:200 sheets, and have it not to show on any other sheets - I want to have this all automatic.
I though I could achieve this by using some sort of visibility parameter detecting the sheets scale, but I cannot see any way of parametising this.
Any thoughts?

We never but a scale bar in the view. We add it on the sheet next to the title. We have seperate types for each view scale. ..... Yes, this is not automatic, you have to place the correct scale for the view, but you don't have the visual scalling issues you are having.

Sorry - to be clear, I wouldn't put it in the view either, only on the sheets (probably next to the title too).
I was just wondering if you coul;d make it change display / visibility based on drawing scale - I guess not...

We are currently working a on Sheet Management tool (using the Revit API) that will automatically place graphical scales and sync them with the view scales on the sheet - as well as many other functions.
Follow us on Facebook or LinkedIn if you want to keep track. Keen to get more users input.

Has anyone figured out how to change scale bar text in a titleblock family based on the sheet scale yet?
