Hi
I have encountered an unsual problem in one of my projects. For some reason when I cut a new section, the view I get is a view from behond the cut line and much further back than the view range should be. This is very strange and annoying. The section line is deffinately facing the correct way and even if I set the view range to only 1m it still shows the same view some 50metres behind me.
The same problem does not occur if I open the project on another machine so therefore I think I must have changed a setting somewhere on my computer.
Any suggestions would be greatfully recieved
Kind regards

Narcosis,
I am having the same issue and can not find a solution. It tends to go away on its own, but then re-occur randomly elsewhere.
Have you had any luck solving this problem outsite this Forum?
Thanks,

Hi Geetomps,
We were haveing this issue with a Buffer model. A Revit file with only linked models in it for doing sections and creating the sheets. (this is a big project). we decided that the file was corrupted somehow and recreated a new one. The problem hasn'r come back since so I assume that the file was indeed corrupt in some way. Depending on your project, this may not be such an easy solution for you. You may want to try copying and pasting your entire site and model into a new project.
Hope this helps, good luck

Anyone have any more info on this type of problem? I have two floor slabs that I have used the modify sub elements command to create a sloped floor surface for the bottom of a pond. One floor is the concrete bottom of the pond. The other floor is the earth under the pond modified the same, so they fit together nicely since the topo will not let you do such things. In 2012 it showed up just fine. Now that we upgraded the project to 2013 these two floors will not show as cut in any sections.

Since I last posted on the issue I encountered, I discovered the culprit. The section appearing to be cut from behind the view (the topic of this post, but maybe not specifically your issue) was caused by a linked model not having the same N/S & E/W coordinates as the host model. It was an easy fix, but I'm not sure why your visibility glitch occurs in 2013. We haven't had any 2012-t0-2013 conversion problems. Yet.
