I am trying to build ribbon windows for an office building. Here are the issues:
1. After placing the storefront(or curtain wall) windows on two perpendicular walls, there is a wall cornar left. then I need to void it out to have a conitued corner window. Is there any simpler way to do this?
2. how to build a corner butt joint mullion?
3. Is it possilble to builidg a family to take care those two issues?
Thanks for any sugessions

1. Either don't use the automatically embed feature for these windows as you'll always end up with a small bit of wall remaining on corners or if you're using windows you can create a void to cut the corner out of two walls. I'm pretty sure i uploaded this into the family explorer so check it out.
2. There are corner mullions already within revit.
3. Yes refer answer to 1.

Thanks a lot Mr. Spot,
1, Is the "Fixed_Glass_Corner_Window_1861.rfa" what you refered to? It is a very interesting family. It seams that it is really made for a "Fixed" type? Although I am able to type in some dimentions to stretch it so that it .looks like a ribbon window, I coudn't place mullion grid on it, Did I miss something?
For the small git of wall remaining on the coner, I don't seam to be able to create a void to cut it. When I select the wall, the only choice that I have is to EDIT PROFILE,which deosen't bring up VOID. If I create a void object separatly, they are overlabe objects and it bring up error massage.
Then I found a simple way to handle this, just use OPENING, it cuts the small corner wall away.
2. The corner mullions in revit are explosed, I don't find any BUTT JOINT type of mullion

1. use the corner fixed window and next to it put a fixed glass window with multiple mullions...
though you can do it with curtain wall, no problem
2. there are no butt joint corner mullions, just select your mullion (the corner one) and delete. you will be left with a glass butt joint...

Mr. Spot, I used "Fixed_Glass_Corner_Window_1861.rfa" that you uploaded. It works well except the lineweight. the Glazing lines are heavy. Is it the way it supposed to be? it is much heavier then other galzing lines by Reivit storefront. Do I need to adjust something?

Check to see what subcategory the glazing has been set to. Then check in your object styles what lineweight you've applied and adjust if necessary.

How do you put the "Fixed_Glass_Corner_Window_1861.rfa" window into the window schedule? It puts the host wall window in the schedule but not the other. Do I need to add a "Width B" parameter to the window schedule? Also how would you show the window elevation type in a legend?
